Mingo was born the same year as our first son, the same year that I graduated from veterinary school. He is the reason why we love horses and yearn to have a relationship with them.
When I met Mingo he was owned by a young girl who eventually became one of our dear friends. Mingo taught her how to trot, canter and jump. When our friend went off to college we purchased Mingo, who then taught our daughter how to do the same.
He was a friend, a comrade, and a soldier. He touched so many of us and will undoubtedly be missed by all.
